Wax or ceramic?

Pretty sure it’s a wax. It’s the wolfgang’s sealant, if that helps.

That’s definitely a synthetic sealant. Much better than wax. Good stuff. Wish my Prelude’s previous owners knew anything about paint care :/

Oop, yep, not a traditional wax. Synthetic polymers that I would consider as similar to a wax (suspend a wax in solvents and it’s still a wax, it just flows better) but definitely a world away from carnauba wax

Get a nice paint sealant. They last longer and give a better shine. I’m going to do another coat this weekend if the weather dries up.

Don’t do it badly. If your going to do it, do it properly.

Is this like the simonize stuff? I wouldn’t mind sealing my Mazda 3. The birds are ass-holes by me.

I’m not gonna say I like your car too much, but damn that is a sharp looking Focus.

Kinda. I consider it like next-generation simonize and similar sealers

Clay bar and polish and THEN seal. And it’ll shine so nice!

can you tell me a good product name? I have a kid I pay to detail my cars once or twice a year. He does great work for reasonable prices, I could throw him a little more to do this.

I used the Wolfgang Deep Gloss sealant v 3.0 or something like that. It’s 40$ for a small bottle though and it might not be worth it. My best friend uses the Klasse brand sealant and his looks just as good but is almost half the price.

Thanks! They use the paint on the mustang too. Those are the only two cars - Focus ST and mustang. And it might not be around too long after 2018.

I use Collinite 845 as my sealant. It’s cheap, goes on super light so you don’t use much, and it lasts a long time.
